President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday admitted that corruption still exists in several government agencies such as the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Duterte said that his two appointees to this two transportation agencies are having a hard time to deal with corruptions as reports of anomalies and fake reports to continue to come in from different regional offices of LTO and LTFRB .
''Itong LTFRB pati LTO, there's still a tip. To think I placed General [Edgar] Galvante [to LTO] and [Martin] Delgra, whose competence and integrity are proven, they are still having a hard time overseeing their agencies under a central government setup,'' Duterte said.
Duterte said that he met with a businessmen from Cagayan de Oro who complained that corruption still exists in the said agencies even if there is a new Government.
''I supposed this is true throughout the country, except for some minor exceptions,'' Duterte said.
The tough-talking president has vowed to install a hotline where the public can raise complaints against non-performing government offices.
And it is the four 8 or 8888 hotline where public can raise their complains about Government agencies.
The president has warned government employees to perform well and not waste government resources or else they know what will happen.
In a related development, the Office of the President released Memorandum Circular No. 3 enjoining all government employees to strictly observe and comply with required working hours.
It is sad to read this because even if our President is a Straight man his agencies employee are still doing the wrong way. Although not all of this employee are doing it, they are still affected just because few of them are doing this.
We just hope that it will be solve smoothly for the People of the Philippines can get their ID's faster and no more tips.
